Founder’s Story
Cousins Olebogeng, Tebogo and Lemo founded the brand Ole’s Activated Charcoal products following the death of their uncle from poisoning. While in mourning, the idea was sparked to start the manufacturing of activated charcoal products that came to her to potentially save others. The quartet wondered if their uncle’s death could have been spared had he consumed activated charcoal as soon as possible after the poison was given to him. One of the cousins, Ole, being a nurse, understood the damaging effects poisoning has on the human body and how urgent treatment could save someone’s life. She also knew about the antioxidant properties of charcoal. After mulling over the idea for a few days, they decided to venture into business together.
